What a treat to go out with such a rugged finger-lickin'-good fellow with no baby in tow. I would have him all to myself!
What would I wear??
I wore my purple cardigan...
The babysitter arrived before my date. We talked about how cute the Bean is until 7:15, and there's a knock at my door. My stomach jumps and flutters at the sound - just like when we were dating!
Outside is Mr. McCrery with a boyish grin, holding a dozen PURPLE ROSES! (Yes, he remembered my favorite color of the season is PURPLE!)

He took me to dinner. We went for fish, but when we walked in things smelled fishy - but not in that yummy we're-having-fish way, no. In the the-fishermen-are-back-from-their-three-months-at-sea-and-still-haven't-showered way. So we ESCAPED!
Which set the tone for the evening and introduced the theme for our date: SPONTENAETY!
So on our way back up the hill, we saw Krispy Kreme donuts - which niether of us likes - which started a conversation about the very same donuts. So we made a SPONTANEOUS stop to get donuts and see if we still don't like them.
Mr. McCrery has uncovered the secret to the Krispy Kreme. You must eat only one at a time. More than that = grody sugared out feeling and sad tummy. If you follow this rule, you and Krispy Kreme feel good about each other.
We ate at PF Chang, which reminded us of our pre-marriage dating time, and I must admit I got a bit squishy about it. I do so adore that man of mine.
Then we went to a movie (a chick flick! Do I not have the greatest friend of a husband, ladies?) and he bought me some of this:
I hope he calls me!
