SUSHI vs. LOVE

My Bill committed another all-nighter to make the final push to finish his video. He was already graded on the unfinished version last semester, and so finishing it now was a personal conquest. I love that.

This is a glimpse into the beginnings of our relationship. From his perspective.

Love Will Conquer the Rawest of Seafood from William McCrery on Vimeo.

Okay, now feel free to tell him how much you loved it.

And you should know that he created every single element of this film from scratch - every grain of rice. Every bounce, slide, tilt, swing and stutter. Every sketch. Every octopus.

The only two partial exceptions are the sound of the film projector and the projector film-like scratches, hairs, blips and bloops which were taken from actual old home movies of Bill's dad as a teenager - recorded on an 8milimeter camera that Bill had converted into digital format to use in this video. The music is by the Magnetic Fields, which Bill edited and looped himself.

I'm quite taken with it.

Wow, I loved it! So creative, I especially loved the scrolling thoughts in his head when you asked him to sushi. Super cute graphics, everything. Talented hubby you got there!

Tell your husband that I loved his sushi film! Especially as one who can't stand sushi and yet married a sushi-maniac as well.

Loved the video. I laughed out loud, which no doubt made folks at the office wonder what new maniacal policy I was about to roll out.

Well done.
